Order and Disorder: Alighiero Boetti

A month ago I visited Alighiero Boetti's exhibition at MOMA.It was simply stunning! The retrospective was organized in collaboration with the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid and the Tate Modern in London and included works from the Art Povera years, the Maps, his postal works,Self portraits and my personal favorite, works that deal with the concept of order and disorder.

“First of all I prefer thought. This is the basic thing. I really think manual skill is secondary. . . . It’s taking things from reality. Everything, however small and humble, always has a beginning and stems from reality.”
